SoundTalking was set up over twenty years ago as the commercial arm of Talking Newspaper Association of the UK (TNAUK), a registered charity. TNAUK recently changed their name and are now called National Talking Newspapers and Magazines (NTN&M). They produce over 200 major national newspaper and magazine titles into a variety of audio formats including CD, tape, DAISY CD and MP3 download, and in digital full text format available by email, download or CD-ROM. They currently distribute more than a million copies of those publications each year to our blind and visually impaired subscribers both here in the UK and abroad.
SoundTalking can help you produce the written word in to an array of alternative formats for those who have difficulty reading text due to sight or language difficulties. Alternative formats available include audio, Braille and large print. Translation services are also available to help get your message across to non English speaking members of our community.
When an organisation or company use the services of SoundTalking they are helping to support our charity as all the profits from SoundTalking are covenanted to the National Talking Newspaper and Magazines to help them continue and expand the invaluable audio service they provide for the visually impaired.
If you feel you would like to help to our parent charity National Talking Newspapers and Magazines then please call them direct at the National Recording Centre on 01435 866102. Thank you!
